In 1957, which aircraft was considered the largest airliner ever built? Well, according to this fabulous original TWA vintage magazine advertisement, it was the Lockheed Jetstream Constellation Starliner!
Touted by Trans World as Quieter, Faster and More Luxurious, this visually powerful advertisement shows the massive wing span of a Starliner in flight and also illustrates the roomy aft passenger lounge with a custom painted mural on the wall by artist Maric Zamparelli. Each plane in the Jetstream fleet had a different city theme. This particular aircraft shows Zamparelli's interpretation of Paris!
