In the 1950's the Southern Pacific updated their film "This is My Railroad" to feature the new diesels which were being used for both passenger and freight service. E-units and Alco Pa's in the Daylight paint scheme are now pulling passenger trains, and the freights are being pulled by F-Units in the famous Black Widow paint scheme.
In this great railroad video here are still a few steam locomotives seen along side of the diesels. Also on this train video is seen "Big Trains Rolling". The American Association of Railroads produced the 1950's color film, describing the importance American railroads play in our everyday life. This film features mainly first generation deisels used by many of our major railroads. 55 Minutes, Color, VHS-NTSC format.
